Anyone familiar with the install on this kit?

Is it pretty much a snap on kit that I can manage by my technically inclined self and buddy?

I've never actually used a kit before, and I know there is a wide range of installs.

Well the company i was thinking about ordering from finally responded to me.

FYI to anyone who was interested, the kit is security with all newly drilled wholes, and 3m tape.

This is probably the norm, but as i mentioned before, I'm a noob to kits.

 

I had this kit it is very easy to install. NOTE!!! NOTE!!! NOTE!! if you have an after market exhaust do not install the rear lip. untill it is cut out arround the exhaust tips to allow proper clearance between the kit and the pipes or it will MELT and make your nice exhaust tips messy with a bunch of plastic crap.. The Kit is very straight forward in regards to install. You will need some self tapping screws for the kit but that is it.

In this picture for the rear you may want to trim it before you start the car because IT WILL MELT IN LIKE 2 MINS. I ended up having to trim more than what was needed to clean up the melted part. But for the most part it did come out very nice and did not take away from the looks of the rear lip at all.

 

the front bumper needs modification to fit in. not sure about the lip.

 

No mods on the lip needed.

 

only if you want the lip to sag down and look funny....otherwise i would put in a custom bracket or 2 to hold the lip up...it does require modification same as most veilside products....just a matter of how much

Yeah FYI, the rear urethane lip WILL melt (like said above) with aftermarket exhausts.
Has anybody made a metal shield for the rear lip. Of course this would be totally DIY

 

So does it not melt with the stock exhaust?

 

the stock tip is small enough to not interfere to not be in contact with the bumper.

to be on the safe side, you need 1 inch clearance all around the tip. the greddy does not allow that, but stock does.

as long as you don't pop any flames anyways.

 

Yeah, I uninstalled my exhaust flamethrower after they played it out in F&F. Thanks for the advice. I may just go with this rear afterall.

 

Humm,, Never had to do any modifications to my kit... The front lip is held up by double sided tape and two screws in the wheel well at the end of the lip that is it.. The screws should be the only "modification" needed. no other special brackets or anything is needed. If installed correctly the front lip is a very straight forward and easy install. If you have sag or the lip looks like it is on wrong it probably is.

 

you are a lucky guy then because i know of 2 members that had the exact issue i described....if you bought a body kit and it was an easy install you are a very fortunate person and in the minority....or you dont realize that your parts are really off and dont care as much as i would
