Finally became one of the lucky ones to receive the aqua taillight mod from mother nature. Left the car outside over the weekend, woke up Sunday morning to wash it, and voila! 1 inch of water in the taillight and a shyt load of condensation.







Took it immediately to the dealership, they one look at it and ordered me a new taillight under warranty. Hopefully it will be here by the weekend!

haha nah it gets nice and sunny in so cali..i thought I would leave the hat in there for funny measure. I was waiting for someone to pick that up! hahah..actually its a hikers hat, works great when washing your car in the sun

 

looks like a cross between a quicksilver hat i have had for years from wind surfing and a i think it was a oregon reasearch hat i used to ski patrol in..

My dealer just replaced both of mine. The service tech said the majority of these that get one replaced are back a week later for the other so he ordered both sides for me.


It's not the best practice to wash and wax the car in the sun.

Hmmm. I replaced one of my taillights when it got cracked in the fall with a used tail light. Now I have condensation in it. Think the dealer would notice it's a replacement? I think the defect is in the gasket behind it, not the taillight (though you would never get the water spots out so they replace it).

With some neon lights at night ....Seriously though, that sucks. I only keep my car outside like once a year.
