My Baby (with pics!)

Just had to share some pics of my 8. Only had it a month but have taken some of the tips from this forum and put them to use on the car.

I wanted to again thank everyone on this forum for the advice, tricks, suggestions, and answers that allowed a total car-noob like myself to customize my 8.

AudioLink Ipod interface
Pettit Radio ****
RX8-Strakes wheel color matched strakes
RX8-Strakes front and rear accents
v-leds.com blue leds interior (including glove box and trunk)
v-leds.com six bulb hyperwhite driving lights

I like the inside. I'm guessing the second half are older since the corners aren't clear?

those are clear corners with amber stealth bulbs in them. Clear in the day, amber when on. I followed the DIY to remove the interior reflectors so the light fills the side marker.

All the pics were taken today.

Car looks good. I like the chrome bulbs for the turn signal. Very "stealth".

+1 on the ipod mount

Thanks for all the kind words. This forum has been a god-send to me. You all helped me decide to purchase an 8 and helped me decide what mods I wanted to do to this wonderful car.

Thanks NoTears, first car that's I've ever really felt the desire to pamper

Just removed the whole license frame/holder yesterday.

Never really stood back and looked at the front till I posted these pics. I had mounted the plate without the dealer frame when I first got my plates.. the back mounting plate is so huge that the plate looked funny sitting there.

I was putting in my final LED (rear license) when I went around the front and just stared at that dealer frame and HUGE plate holder. Two 10mm bolts and one screw later it's now sitting my trunk. The car just looks sooooo good without a front plate. I'm going to see how long I go before a police officer hits me with a fix-it ticket.

Good job on getting rid of the front plate and dealer plates. No advertising for dealers and they are ugly.

I have never got pulled over for missing front plates. Might get a nasty parking meter matron though.

Changing the fog light bulbs?

The replacements are sitting in my garage. Once I change them out I'll be doing the mod that allows you to turn them on and off idependent of the headlights.

Hello,

Great looking car. Can you tell me where you found the rotary shaped volume control? Thanks.

Darran.

Cool. I hear you can just jack up the car and reach underneath or you can go through the wheel liner.

Did you get PIAAs or HOENS?
