New Spring Look

So I got the new wheels on + S-tech springs.

The tires are the stock Potenzas, on the new Quantum Tek 105 (18x7.5)

Some small paint jobs left to do over the next few weeks and I'll be done. At least when it comes to my $$$ . . .

I figured the black lip would have that effect, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much of a difference it makes.

Thanks.

Hmmm. Your front end does not look S-Tech low. I have S-Techs with stock front end/no AP and the front looks so much lower, with slightly less wheel gap in front than in back. And if my springs "settled" it was only a mm or 2 since it's looked that low from the minute I took it off the jacks. Did you load the suspension before tightening everything?

Install was Thursday. My mechanic did all the work - mount & bal. the potenzas on the rims, spring install, and an oil change while there ($300 even, since someone is bound to ask).

I'll ask him about it Apex8, but the drop seems like it's right at the numbers advertised by Tein. The front went from ~2.5 inches off the tire down to just over an inch off the tire. And about 1/2 inch in back. Tho I could be wrong on exactly what I should have expected based on those ##s.

I use the Tanabe Sustec springs. i love them they work great. I have had them over a year now and they rock. No sag or sway of any type. Even hold up with some track use.. I was going to use the S tec but they did not drop all that low.

^ I didn't want to drop too much. It's a daily, including winter, and the roads in New England are unkind at best.

Niiice. Very unique rims looks sharp on the 8. New springs are the best thing I've done to my car so far. Hope you like them.

Unique, definitely, but the rims are a bit too busy for my taste.

The spring swap is wild. It's like readjusting to the car like it's brand new again. The pull of the steering wheel through grooves and dips is noticable - just like it was for the first few weeks of ownership. I'm waiting til the end of the week, having it aligned, and then going to tear up some twisties. I'll report back then.

^ I certainly can't argue they're not busy. I wanted a 6 point, but the black lip was too cool to pass on.

^I bookmarked the calendar, and def. want to do the Cape run. Just have to convince my gf that she wants to start AND end our week off with car runs.

Tks wing. The budget only allowed for rims, or I would have gone to 19s. But feel free to PM me for my paypal if you'd like to make some donations!

Looks good, but I think if you tinted your tail lights it would look even better!

Thinking about smokin the tail lights . . . can't decide. I'd want the front done too, and I don't really want to do the fronts.

Those rims stick out more than the car does. I'm not feeling those.
