First CEL, now what?
04 GT with MT; 32k
First warm day the car seemed sluggish after it was fully warmed up.
After I stopped , on restart the CEL came on. Checked the gas cap=--on tight.
So, 03 production RX8 MT, sluggish performance, CEL on and the car slows down and speeds up with cruise on when hitting a slight upgrade. No coils have been changed at this point.
It's going in tomorrow; had a clean bill of health last year during the recall.
CATs?
I know it's not much to go on but would appreciate things to consider before I deal with the service guy.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I had the same issue on my 04 GT MT at the 44k point. On a 300 mile road trip, car began to get sluggish and while on cruise going over and overpass it would lose power. 250 miles in, the car abruptly died. Let it sit a few minutes and drove it about 15 miles to the nearest Mazda dealer. The coils had burned up.
I make this trip often, and everytime I come back, the CEL comes on for about a day then goes away. I have no idea what is causing it, but it goes away so I don't deal with it.
Also, with the changed coils I no longer suffer from loss of power going up a grade and no longer feels as sluggish as it did that day.
