Exclamation 04 VR off lease April 22 - ANY ADVICE?

WHAT TO DO????
I really have loved this car... By far the best car i've ever owned!
But what should i do? Keep it or give it back? or sell?
My origional intensions were to keep the car so i never drove it in the winter changed the oil every 3k I only have 27k on the car now! But $$$ is tight now....Im at my quarter life crisis - planning to buy a ring, a house ect. lots of expenses are in my near future. I have a civic which i can boot around in for a few more years... Any advice.

It would be such a shame for you to let it go after obviously looking after it so well.

How much can you keep it for? With mileage that low you may be able to sell it for more!?!?

Pass on buying the ring it's just trouble. Probably end up taking your car away faster than the lease end! Car never talks back, doesn't mind if you forget her birthday or if you decide to drive another lady in her. All she does is love; how could you give her back!!

I'm just kidding, trying to enlighten the mood! Honestly, in your situation I'd sell the Civic and use those funds to ease the pain of continuing payments. Worth it I think to drive the car in the winter to keep it, or give it back and the dealer make a killing on it and it end up getting thrashed around by some douchebag. Good luck!

What's the residual value? I say negotiate a lower buyout price and buy out the lease.

GREAT Advice! However these cars are selling like hotcakes in the dealer auctions.

I've done 3 winters in my 8 - I usually take it to the coin wash 3 or 4 times a week in the winter. The car still looks great and no rust (except for the rotors ).

Good luck on your decision. Hopefully you will keep it but you have to decide what is best for you.

Cheers

Two winters with mine. Good winter tires are necessary. I also frequent the spray wash to clear out the wheel wells, especially the front part of the rear wheel wells.

Oh, yeah.
Keep it if you can. Sell the Civic...

You mean calipers, right? If you painted your rotors I'm happy you're still alive.

Man I know someone that sold his last gen RX7 for a girl (she wanted an Altezza) that he married. Long story short they got a divorce he sold the Lexus and he has regretted it ever since. But I'm sure you could buy another RX8. So you'll be okay

Who the hell are buying these cars? Mazda dealerships here have to give their used RX-8 away.
