Thumbs up First year model owners, do you still feel the love?

My car is celebrating its 3 yr birthday. Born at the factory in March '04, delivered to me in April '04.

In that time, my love for this car remains strong as ever. (Can't say the same for this website however, there's just too much negative BS.) Sure the car has its quirks, but I think of it as character. Perhaps I'm lucky, but my '04 has been 100% trouble free. I still look back at my car whenever I park, still wash it weekly, and wax every few months. Still brings a smile on every drive, and even when just listening to that rotary purrr.

Do you first year model owners also feel the same?

my coworker corrected me saying that my car was not "new", I almost punched him.

It's got 42,000 miles now. I still think of the car as new.

Bought on Oct 03 and loving each mile/minute with it.
A great support from my local dealer helped keeping any surprises at a minimum.

To keep the "fire" going, I give the car (and myself ) a little gift every year. First year was the rear spoiler. Second, the rotary accents. Third, a nice tint...
I'm running out of ideas for this next anniversary...
I was thinking about some parts of the aero package, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions?

Purchased 06/04 w/ 09/03 build date. We had a rocky first year. 3 replacement cats, rebuilt trans, numerous missfires and a replacement engine (pre-recall). I have had no problems since the engine change out..

I can't think of a car (with in reason) that I would prefer to own.

March 04 build here and first registered March 28, 2004 . Still on original starter, battery and spark plugs. Fuel pump is getting changed this Monday under warranty, how cool is that for a car that is out of warranty! My dealership !.

Overall, best car I have ever driven. Looking forward to 2010 to see what Mazda comes up with.

Brought my bundle of joy home on July 22, 2003. Totalled it on March 18, 2007 (may she rest in peace). I can't even think about another car. Even driving a Shinka the week after the crash didn't do it for me. There was something special about the car I preordered, waited for for 7 months, and paid full MSRP for. I miss her dearly...

Not a ding on it only paint chips Mazda paint has allot to be desired, my 95 Volvo 850 Turbo has lfewer chips with 144,000 miles on it.
