Maybe I'm reading the gauge wrong, but was that thing idling ridiculously low?

Well this is the 14k redline FC. If you look at the calibration it was idling around 8 or 9 hundred. My car idles at 750 on colder days.

Like I said... looking at the gauge it looks low, like about 200.

Like I said 14k redline. Look at the way it's calibrated. It is a custom made 16k tach. the first line is at 2,000. That idle looks like it is bouncing just below halfway between the 2 and the 0 i.e. 800 to 900.

Correct. I was freaking out too, then noticed the damn redline. But regardless, that's pretty f$^&ing low for a peripheral ported 20b, no?

Well adding the extra rotor could actually make it possible for a lower idle. the P-port as well. The P port giving it more air makes it easier to burn, and having 3 rotors combusting at 3 combustions per rotation make it easier to keep up the momentum, even at low speeds.

I'm surprised you guys hadn't seen/heard of this car before. I';ve had these links for over a year now. I guess the 7 forums just got hold of a 7 video first.

Alright then, you win what can I say. the sheer fact that it's still running will have me believe that the custom gauge, although cool and matches stock really well

it may have manufacturing defects becaus eit's a oneoff. I know that's not what this discussion was about, but just notable.

I will give in and say you're right about that though.
