that's weird how the front rotary thing is painted red like the car, i've never seen the appearance package without the accents. good color choice! i haven't been arrested yet, although i've only put 500 miles on mine...

 

The color and the look of the car say, "Hey officer, come on over and give ME a ticket, I think I need another one... C'mon, sir... I'll RACE you for it..." :D :D :D LOL

I think it's funny and strikingly contrasting how the dealer's name on the rear license plate frame is so subtle and peaceful and nearly sublime: Maple Shade... aaahhhh, makes you want to sleep, sedated, quiet and calm... but NOT IN THIS CAR, BUDDY! YEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAA!!!! :D :D :D

 

Only thing missing that would make this perfect is the integrated NAV option...

After seeing your pics with the appearance package and the spoiler I changed my order to include the APP and spoiler. I had ordered arrest me red with GT and black/red interior back in july. The Mazda photos I had seen of the APP made it looked gaudy with low clearance. Your photos really blew me away. The dealer just happened to have one arriving the end of september with all my original options plus the APP/Spoiler. I'm picking it up tomorrow. Thanks for posting the pics.

Same dealer as you Maple Shade. I bought a 626 there in 84 when they just came out. They were going for MSRP and were hard to get. There were people there from Boston picking up cars. I think MS is the best dealer in NJ as far as number of cars allocated. This will be the third Mazda I purchased in its first production year (626, MPV, and now the RX8). The 626 and MPV were great vehicles and I'm sure the 8 will follow suit.

That color is mesmerizing!! Iv'e never seen paint sparkle like that in the sun. It's unbelievable, its intoxicating. The car just gleems and gleems. Thats defenitely that color im getting without a doubt!!!!

 

You might find this hard to believe, but pics of the Velocity Red on the net don't quite do it justice (no offense to GR8 -- those are nice shots).

I was all over the Brilliant Black until I saw a Red... and that was in a garage! When I saw a second Red 8 in full sunlight I almost blew a gasket! It's awesome!

 

I wanted the blue and I've never had a red car but when I saw this color I wanted it .
