Hi all,

Has anyone heard of a Bose sub option? Someone was telling me that it was an option on the 2007 8, but I can't find reference to it anywhere.

Yeah, I have never heard of that... I have the GT and it was never an option.... Where would it go anyway?!

 

for the money you would spend on that option on a bran new car it would probobly be cheaper to go out and get a crapy amp and sub that would hit louder any way. but on the other hand it would probobly be very clean looking from the factory....i just couldnt see anything from the factory having enough bump for me

 

Someone was selling a "bose subwoofer" on ebay last week. It's gone now but it was listed ealier.

I for one would never add any bose equipment to a car, there's many better choices for speakers out there.

 

I couldn't figure out where it would go either, and it wasn't listed as an option anywhere... I had hoped that for a small investment, I could plug and play a little extra into the factory bose setup until I can afford to do it all right.

I am going to look at the FSM that is online and investigate further.

I guess it technically has 4 woofers since the tweeters are seperate units.

As for your initial question, I think the option was just the Bose. With Bose there are four 7" woofers; two in front and two in rear. Along with seperate tweeters all around; two in doors (triangle trim), one in the center, and two in the rear. Add all of them up and you have the 9 speaker Bose option

 

YUP, the big door speaker is considered the "subwoofer"
