Oops I bought an exhaust
On my way home from work today I stopped by Oakville Mazda to pick up some o-rings for my miata's fuel injectors. While I'm there I get talking to my friend Dave (Road Cone on the board) who sold me my car. We're talking about various rx8 related things and get on the subject of exhausts.
Next thing I know we're driving to JRP and I buy the Greddy. Oops!
So we go back to his house and Dave installs it. All this before I even got home from work tonight. I finally have a mod besides door sills.
The Greddy looks and sounds great. On idle and cruise it sounds no different from stock. When you get on it, it is a fair bit louder but not obnoxious "wet fart" loud and I'm proud to say there are no bees present. This could be a placebo effect but the engine does seem less taxed and travels through the rpm range more smoothly without the flat spots I've come to expect from the Renesis.
All in all I'm happy. Thanks for pushing the impulse buy Dave.

lol I'm not going to go crazywith mods on this car. Everything I do has to be undone when I give it back. Then I'll have some parts for sale for you vultures.
I'll probably do suspension at some point then leave it at that. TurboEight, when Dave installed mine he just jacked up the left side of the car so he could get under. No need to do it all proper like.
