Car Polishing Svcs in Shopping Malls

Hi Rotary owners,

Pls do advice (based on personal proven service experience), the good and the bad car polishing svcs located at shopping malls (while I can shop while waiting), especially for BLACK cars.

I am looking for a reliable one, without risking having swirl marks on my ride.

The good:
1)
2)
3)

The bad:
1)
2)
3)

Appreiate it! Tks!

So far my experiences with these shopping centre chains are that they will try to push you to sign packages. Workmanship can be shoddy. Swirl marks will depend on what kind of cloth they use and whether they cleaned it properly before using on your ride. Black cars are hard to manage, that's why my 8 will be white when it comes!

The best way to keep ur car that extra shine is DIY. I wax mine with carnauba wax, which is relatively easy to do under 2 hrs, twice a mth....good exercise too....

cheers

My friend had a bad experience with one. He saw one of the worker tested out his ride up til 3 floors from where the Car Polishing level is... and at breakneck speeds.

I don't own an 8 yet but my current car is black in colour. I dont polish but went for the amazing glaze coating. Looks good and shiny after normal wash but you must use micro fibre cloth.

Also don't own an 8 yet, but I go to this car wash at Bishan Junction 8. Took up their package and do waxing there. So far satisfied with their service and worksmanship. I may not be very detailed in examining my car after that, but from what I could see, my black civic has no swirl marks and shines nicely. So, I'm happy with it there.

Hey Wolf, I used to do my polishing there for a year but stopped because I found their package too Expensive. Last time round (2002) I paid like 966 dollars for a 3 year package? How much did you pay or you just visit Ad Hoc?
