the only chinese rap i can tolerate is Jay Chou, who by the way actually has some class, not to mention an amazing lyricist...

i hate admitting it- esp 'cuz i'm musician myself & very critical of poser pop artists. but, in this case- yes, overall i honestly do have to say that jay is a really talented & creative songwriter/ producer. that's not to say that he doesn't do his share of cheesy pop crap. he has written enough songs "of substance" that redeems himself. and, his lyricist, ¤è¤å¤s, is a freaking poetic genius. if you read some of the lyrics to jay's songs- even without listening to the music- it's freaking amazing & poetry in motion. i've been speaking, reading/ writing chinese my entire life, and think i have a decent grasp over the language. and, i can say without bias that you don't just spit out lyrics of that caliber if you don't have a some talent...
