Inquiring opinions - exhaust

Hi folks,

I'll be doing my first mod on my 8 pretty soon and it'll be a new exhaust system. I was eyeing on a Tanabe Medalion Touring Cat-Back system. But after researching some more and reading stuff in this forum and other sites, I now have three exhaust systems that I'm interested in. I'd like to find out from fellow NW peeps on their opinions about the following three:

Tanabe Medalion Touring (around $600)
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/exhausts/medaliontouring.asp

Greddy SP2 series Cat-Back (around $550)
http://www.greddy.com/products/displ...&SubCategory=1

and

MazdaSpeed Dual-Muffler Sport exhaust (around $500)

Anyone?

the SP2 is nice, but its too quiet. I have the B&B and that is quite loud but i like it

i haven't heard the Tanabe, but generally, they make some pretty loud exhaust systems. the Mazdaspeed one isn't that loud at all, compared to the stock one. the greddy sp2 is the best one out of the 3, but i don't like the tip designs.

i have the Racing Beat exhaust and absolutely love it. the welds are high quality and looks simple and clean. the exhaust isn't that loud, but you can definately tell it's there. installation was perfect...fit like it was made from the factory.

Sp2 is GREAT, I had it on my 8 and I personally loved every aspect of them.
I loved Greddy exhaust so much I ended up getting EVO2 exhaust for my EVO, which again is going beyond my expectations. Nothing but great experience from greddy exhaust systems for me
Good luck

+1 for the Racing Beat Exhaust.

HKS also makes 2 really good exhausts. The Legamax dual exhaust or the Hi power single exhaust.

The Mazda Speed sounds great, just a little more grunt to let you know you're on the gas. You're not going to get a lot of power out of an exhaust. Especially an exhaust alone. If you're seriously planning Forced Induction down the road, make sure you chose an exhaust that can flow a little more. Other wise, find audio clips and get the one that sounds best.
