Usually not a fan of 7-spoke wheels, but damn those look nice. Have you thought about adding the front splash guards? Might frame those wheels nicely.

I have though about it. I really like the looks of the 8 lowered. Although, I live in east Tennessee. Roads around here SUCK! And the area I live in is quite hilly. I dont want to run the risk of damaging her beautiful body

Drop it with mazdapeed shocks/spring or coilovers. I have no problems with the drop and mazdaspeed body.

Awesome! I like black with the chrome lip alot better. I couldn't pass up $800.00 for rims and new Nitto tires

I think you should've stuck with the black w/chrome lip idea. COPY CAT! And to beat it all.......you're from knoxville! This makes me Now I get to hear "hey I saw you over at _____ the other day." or from the smarter ones.... "hey I saw a car JUST LIKE YOURS the other day.".

Looks sharp! The lips really show off the car nicely.

LOL to the above comment. - I used to live in Knoxville a few years ago. Now living outside the Detroit area, I really miss the smooth roads of East Tennessee. All a matter of perspective.

Although I do admit that in downtown Knoxville, there are some jacked up roads. You really have to watch the entrances and exits everywhere or else you scrape the front.

Keep up the great work on the ride. Hopefully you will be at the Deal's Gap event in April.

Whitey: Bahahaha - that's funny! You two should get pics of your cars together.

Ya know I've talked to this kid before.....ABOUT WHEELS.....so the fact that he bought the same exact wheels that I have shows his lack of creativity/originality/imagination in modding his car. Out of the THOUSANDS of wheels out there......why mine? I think this is a violation of RX-8 Law, Code 20B which states...."A person may not knowingly duplicate the modifications of another person's RX-8 while residing within the same area code." Mods....take him away!

Man, Whitey, that does SUCK! You'd think someone could get an original idea themselves instead of copying someone else - especially someone who lives so close! I guess some people aren't born with taste or creativity.

Well he does have taste Phee, he bought an RX8. He just doesn't have any creativity. But then you know Whitey is quite the leader, who wouldn't want to be like him?

Oh, give the guy a break. It's a great look and if somebody loved it, why would you expect them to buy something they didn't like as much for their car? Yeah, if he also gets the MS body kit and pulls up next to you at a meet, it would suck, but it's a free country.

So I'd take it as a compliment and drive on. And be careful of how much creativity you wish for. That can get ugly real fast.

Bought mine here: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...n&key=RX081035

OEM stuff, and inexpensive when you consider they come painted in factory colors. IMHO I think it looks pretty nice with the factory aero kit...kinda balances the profile of the car with the rear aero flares. Here's a thread with photos of a yellow with them installed.
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards

A white one in this thread, though the angle is bad so you can't really see them that well (6th post down): https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards
This one is a much better view on white (7th post down): https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards

They're very easy to install...just need a screwdriver and a dremel with a cutting disk to trim away some of the rubber splash guard beneath the rocker panel. Took me less than an hour to do both sides on mine.

Ok, these rims cost close to 400.00 each. How was I suppose to pass up $800.00 for all four rims AND new tires?!?!?! Give me a break! I will end up buying the black and chrome, but for now these will do.

BTW.... Is 21 years old still considered "a kid" ?!?!
