You mentioned somewhere to find inexpensive in-dash 6-disc changers? Would you be so kind as to remind me?

Yikes, how embarrassing!!
But thanks guys

Darin, Here's the info on the in-dash 6 CD changer. A ton of people on the board have gone through this guy, Carlos, and it's a great deal. I spoke to him on the phone and he was awesome. When I bought mine back in June last year, the price was $100 including shipping... Kristopher came over and helped Volney and me install ours. Piece of cake - I bet you have yours installed in 20 minutes (took us a while longer ).

I love my CD changer. Didn't know kristopher knew the interior of that center console well. Maybe I can get him to help me find an annoying little rattle in there in exchange for a 12 pack

I'm feeling better now, yay!

I'm getting to know it. I swapped my cd player for the mp3 player about 2 months after I bought the car. It took a little remembering when I helped Volney and Linda, but the more one does anything, the better one gets, hopefully. I'd be happy to help you root around in there. It's probably the same screw that's been rattling around in Volney's dash since we made the swap.

That's exactly what I was thinking, small small screw somewhere inside. It sounds like a cricket chirping and only happens when I run over coarse patches of road or those little bumps they use to divide lanes.

I was thinking about taking it into the dealership to fix it but I'm worried they'll rip up the dash or something to find the cause

But if you're willing to help me out, I'd be perfectly happy to repay you in good ol' delicious beer

Sorry Kristopher, it didn't come out the way I meant - I was thinking with the amount of time Darin spends on his 8, he's prolly has had the console out so many times he could do it in his sleep! Of course, now that I think about it, you prolly could too. The longer install time was because you were showing 2 noobs... ok, well 1 noob (me ) how to take apart the console.
