They are not yet. This one hit the lot Wed. night, wife bought it Thursday evening. First one in the state so far.

The handling so far is unreal!! Very tossable, agile for its size, real good turning radius.
Don't know about the power yet, had .7 miles on it when we purchased it but feels like it could be fast.
The accel is smooth, you will be going faster than you think.
I like the manual shift mode, will have some fun with that.

The cabin is very roomy, lots of leg room, wide interior, the leather is really nice. Kind of wish the 8 had leather now.
will keep ya posted.

ONE suggestion - take it back and make them remove the sticker above 'cx9' - UNLESS they pay you for advertising.

Great truck! Congrats!

The interior looks great, better than the leather in my 8. It really looks like mazda has been working hard on getting their interior fit and finish to a polished state.

Sweeeeet.

If it's anything like my 7 it's hard to believe it's an SUV/wagon class of vehicle. Mine is AWD.

The 7 is more agile then a Camaro or Mustang. If I had known the 9 was coming when I bought the 7 I might have waited - it could use a little more room. Back seats are a tad tight and the rear storage seems smaller then it looked on the showroom floor.

Please report back on the fuel economy after about 5000 miles. Thats how long all my Mazda's took to get stable mileage. FWIW the AWD 7 gets 19-20 around town and 26 on the road under normal conditions - minimal boost. Pushing the go pedal hard invites fuel to the cylinders in a hurry. A drive across West Texas was fun - it hauls *** and feels at home at 90-100 - but it sucks the juice much faster. Maybe the V6 will do better.

Is it 6 speed? "The slapstick" feature is more of a novelty since the box seems to be programmed to shift pretty well.

Cool car. Bet the wife is ecstatic.

Yes it is a 6 speed and she is very happy/sad due to the debt she is now in. HAHA!!
I will keep up the posts when new stuff happens and will track the mileage.

The interior is really nice, everything is well situated and for those people of shorter height the power seat raise is cool.

She got a Touring model with most all the bells and whistles, did not see a need for the $5000 dvd/nav package cause you lose the moonroof.

Can buy a dual DVD player for 170 bucks and a Garmin nav unit that we can both share.
I really don't care about a power rear hatch, electroluminacent gauges, rear view camera.

Any updates about the driveability yet? My husband mentioned this the other day when we were talking about what our next car might be. He'd been looking at a used Cayenne S, but when he saw the CX-9 he liked the way it looked, and he could get it brand new and fully loaded for the same price. He's always stealing my car during the week, so he's already excited about Mazda in general.

Those numbers sound a lot like my wife's FX35. Is it AWD?
