news paper car wash true?

I heard of washing the windows with news paper and windex before but recently one of my teachers told me to use newpaper on the paint... will that effect the paint or body?

My first thought was to ignore this thread. But the thought of you scratching up your 8 is more than I could stand. Only use a soft cloth to clean the paint with. Something that can protect the paint from the dirt that you pick up off the car.

As for windows, my dad has always done that. It works. I don't do it though.

Teacher told you to use it on the paint. No wonder our educational system is in such a mess.

This thread now needs to die.

Your windows yes, I forget the exact reason why think something to do with lint or dust or I dunno.. but I do remember the news papers are good for your windows. Now your Paint.. Slap your teacher and if anything drop the class. The teacher should of told you to just wash your car with sand paper.

Yeah, go ahead and use the newspaper on your car's paint. It'll even make the color darker and deeper. Do it! Do it!

Better yet instead of carwash soap, use some windex, or one of those kitchen cleaner things with bleach in it

I suggest using Aircraft quality stuff. There's this product that works great on car paints. It's called aircraft paint remover. Don't be scared of the "remover" since it's aircraft paint, not car paint. Works wonders and makes your car nice and shiny like chrome (literally).

i used to clean my windons with newspaper on my previous car, yes it cleaned them good but if u take a REALLY good look at it it scratches all over, even tho u can't tell when u are not looking at it, anyways it bothered me for the rest of my life so im not planning on doing this to my eight, just my 2 cents
