Raining and safe driving

Hi guys, these few days it has been raining raining and raining some more. I know most of you are pretty good drivers but would still like to advise everyone to drive carefully during this period.

Ytd while driving home and going through a heavily flooded bend, my car skidded and I swerved left then right and finally managed to get it back under control. I was lucky there weren't any cars behind of me at that time. Small scare for me.

I know you all maybe good at handling the car and the truth is our ride is pretty good for handling but maybe you all want to consider some safety tips like going slow thru bends, slowing down on flooded patches and checking the tyres for balding. I was not going real fast thru the bend and still I skidded cuz of the flooding.

Just some advise I thought I'll share. Drive safe guys.

If anyone see you skidding; just flash a cool smile and they will think you are drifting. Just make sure the person is sitting in florescent WRX.

This rain makes alot of drivers turn dumb. Yeterday a bloody cab turning out from a side lane without seeing me while i ws going straight on a main road and he caused me to do a mild e-brake. And the bloody piece of **** dare horn me. But i cooled down fast after thinking why should i get angry at a low life.

Anyone notice majority of drivers brake for nothing when it rains. And they all drive so damn slow (safe slow is ok, but ridiculously slow is well, ridiculous).

that' right . safe driving everyone.

and keep cool, we are smarter than those low lifes out there.

too many terrible accidents happening out there during this rainy season.

that day going up to the airport, I saw this WRX skidded and smash up the area with the flower pots.

He crashed into the flower pots, smash up the wooden fencing and his ride was facing against traffic. massive %#@*&^ jam

Roads are problematic? Try wet office car parks made with (smooth) cement floors.... know what D1 n donuts are like now. I can tell you, ABS, LSD, DSC, ABC MNS etc doesn't help esp when someone decides to reverse out of his car lot without looking. Had my pulse beating a bit more than its safely permissable.

I just need to learn how to do this in a more controlled fashion. Am waiting for the carpark to clear out first then I will try drifting it. No need for semi-bald tires to do this stunt with this type of floors.

Saw in the news about a vehicle pile-up in town area involving a black RX-8.
Hope the driver is ok and the car to be back to normal condition.

well well..... i just skidded recently also... raining. turn in at about 6k rpm only, oversteered and my correction was too drastic, then skidded left from 1st lane to 3rd lane....luckily car lost momentum and corrected its course.... ended up with a sore head (big head) and re-alignment... I tot i could handle the car. cos i've been monkeying around and drifting with FF cars in UK for a few years. this is my first FR car... since then my b**ls have became smaller and no confidence in my handling nor the car's handling already... be safe folks.... I have to be anyway.. only 8 points left in my licence...heheh.
