It's been 27 months since I replaced the original transmission fluid and differential oil with synthetic. In that time the car's been driven about 17k miles.

I've been going by the manual's more stringent "schedule 2" for most maintenance on my '04. It shows that you should replace it every 24 months or 30k miles. With only 17k on it has the synthetic (Redline in my case) got some more life in it?

Redline should still have life in it at this point. I'd either wait a little longer or if you're just bored, go ahead and do the change.

Can't go wrong either way

 

Did my first change at 5 K miles, switched to RP. and did it again @ 20 something K.

Now Im on 24 K, planning to do it again around 35 K.
