I don't know where carrabas/outback lot location is, and I can't use mapquest without more information. So if anybody can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No regrets. An army marches on it's stomach, that's you, or not at all.
Next time. LD.

We meet once a month to get together, hang out, talk about club bidness, eat some good BBQ etc etc. Discuss upcoming drives and such as well. This past month was pretty slow due to the crap weather, but hopefully this month we'll be able to get out more and do some twisties and such. If you need directions or anything hit me up, the meeting is at the Rudy's BBQ on 183@ Duval (between Carraba's and Covert Ford on the feeder) and starts at 7pm Wednesday. Our club site is in my sig as well.

You guys ever do any hill country runs near New Braunfels? Saturday I drove from New Braunfels to my bosses house in the Dominion VIA HWY 46 and it was a great ride. My cuz followed in his S2000. It was a great 1 1/2 hour fun run. there were a ton of bikes. you gusy ever been out to lakey? My bud and his speed bike friends have lots of video shot out there and it looks great.

we did a leakey trip a few months back, weather kind of sucked but the roads were AMAZING, probably going to plan another one this year and do the same deal. Lotsa' driving, but lotsa' fun too! We've done the hillcountry drive thing too, word of advice, stay near the back, the guys upfront are borderline reckless at times and drive kind of crazy, the middlle to back is the spot to be on those drives.

p.s. we welcome any kind of car, wrx, evo,s2000,240sx with an sr20, mr2, whatever ya' got, bring it

we had a tiny banner in the parking lot and we always sit in the back, last none of that mattered though as Rudy's has stopped supporting ALLL the local car clubs, they're no longer going to put cones in the parking lot for us (which would have helped out ALOT last night) or do anything else for that matter. This comes after we've held our meetings there for over 2 years, placed them on our club webpage and advertised for them for FREE, I can't even count how many times I've mentioned them in this forum, to friends of mine, austin newbs, etc etc etc, and then we get shat upon because "somebody complained".
We weren't the only club that held meetings there, so perhaps one of the other ones scared customers away or pissed someone off or something, doesn't really matter as we ALL got shafted. So we're looking at alternatives now, if you have any ideas post them up, sorry things were so scattered last night, usually we're REALLY easy to find as all the cars are parked together and we can spot people looking for us or them more easily, last night my car almost got hit about 3 times, I was in one place, while the rest of the club was all over the f-in place. We've got drives going on this month which are way more manageable as we meet in a place that's not open yet so feel free to show up for those, you don't have to be a paid member to go on those, and the more people we can get to show up the more fun they tend to be

Well post in here for the next event you have. You should all come down for one of the San Antonio Sports Car Club of San Antonio events. On 02/25/2007 there is an event in the AT&T center lot. It's very smooth.

Nice...well its good to know that I didnt wander around lost for no good reason...

A few buddies of mine would do "Beer Thursday" at County Line or Waterloo on 360 but I am not sure how many people or whats involved with this type of thing. But keep me posted as I am definately interested if anything to get to talk to other RX peeps to figure out simple things like..."is it supposed to make that noise?" etc etc...

true, we have a drive on the 24th that is going to be awesome, i missed yesterday's as my brakes are in need of replacement so I didn't feel comfy going on a spirited drive with them. I hope to have my new pads/rotors installed by the 24th so I can make the next drive. Still looking at possible locations for the meeting, so far it's looking pretty grimm lol

Hawk HPS+...a bit squeaky, but they definately have all the bite I need on the OEM rotors. If you need a caliper compressor let me know, I got the kit.

All I am waiting for is tires before really exploring the dynamics of the car. I was looking at 245/40-18 BFG G-Force KDW's as apparently they have a stiffer sidewall then the cheaper tires. At $176 each they had better at least provide equal or better performance compared to the Dunlops.

Bout how many ppl in the club? I take it meeting at a local park for a cook/out type thing has already been thought up?

yeah we tried that once, the problem we have is getting people to give up a saturday or sunday to come out and drive, if we could ever get our participation at a good level it would rock. Our webpage has over 50 members registered, I'd say maybe 5-10 or so are just people who registered but hardly ever come out at all. So we've done the cook off thing (sorta) once, we;ve tried other stuff, it's too bad we're constantly fighting people's schedules, really makes it hard to coordinate quality turnouts, which in turn bums people out who do make the runs since the numbers are low. I'm confident it won't always be that way though, we grow a little month by month so it won't be much longer before the rest works itself out
The kdw's are failry stiff from what I can tell, I've ridden in a car that had them in 40 series and a little bigger than my width, they definitely felt a little more stout than the Falkens I'm running which surpised me as the guy has more sidewall showing than I do.

I see...scheduling is always a challenge...hopefully it all works out as you think...I for one am looking forward to a nice drive as soon as I get a chance to get the tires on...

Few more changes here and there and hopefully she'll be ready for some hot laps at TMS or the ranch...

You guys ever do install parties? So far I've been doin stuff solo and run into situations where I need a tool or extra hands to do something. Got a midpipe on the way in so it looks like this weekend I'm going at it again haa haa...

we haven't yet but it's definitely something I'd like to do, we have a few sponsors who could probably loan us some space if we couldn't do it at someone's house etc. My brakes shipped yesterday, not sure what I'm doing install wise with those yet, can't wait to pitch the rusty stockers
