I'll be at Fort Belvoir, VA for about 4 weeks in february - will have 3 weekends, if there are any RX8 meets, and ppl wouldn't mind me showing up in a rental...OR if anyone just wants to meet for beers, etc.

Two weeks - less than, really. While I'm in DC - if any locals want pics of their cars, i can do that...you pick the location - make sure i can find it (Or pick me up), and I'll burn thru some 'frames' for ya.

lol I land the 4th of March...and my last weekend there is 31st of march and 1 April - my wife is flying out that weekend and we'll do the touristy DC stuff.

gives you a very nice tour of some historic sites right off of the Potomac river, plus you get to visit Old Towne Alexandria while you're waiting to board the boat

That's why I ride the VRE into DC. Get on the train and catch another 50min of sleep!!

I thought I saw something in the news last fall that said DC is the second or third worst commute in the country (LA was first if I remember correctly.

As to the cold, yeah it sucks. Trying to find a job in Fla down below Tampa/St. Pete.

 

Welp - down to my last weekend. A few observations:

I REALLY Like this area. If I could afford a house close to the Pentagon, or even here near belvoir, I'd love to live out here.

Traffic blows.

Your channels are screwy - Channel 4 should be ABC, 5 should be NBC, 7 - CBS, and 13 should be fox. Fix that for me, kay?
