the meter on my compressor was really off, get a tire pressure gauge from your local auto store and find out the PSI it should be 32-34 PSI. don't go by the gauge on the compressor by any means. The exact pressure is on the back edge of your driver side door.

though it would be that much off ... assuming the conversion is PSI = 14.696 x atmosphere my 2.5 would be 36.7. So just gotta lower it a little to 2.3 or 2.4.

I guess the question remains whether winter tires need any adjustment in pressure or are they run based on the same recommendation as oems?

If they are the same size, just run them the same, maybe slightly more to decrease the contact patch and get a stiffer sidewall to get the same turn in.

I've had mine on a week or so. I cranked then up to 35 psi to help offset the saggy sidewalls, but there's a limit somewhere. The bigger problem I think is riding on those independent tread blocks - very squirmy! Spring can't come fast enough for me!
