Any suggestions as far as prep work and types of paint to use in order to paint my winter wheels black would be appreciated. They're currently the stock silver color and I'd like to paint them black. Do they need to be sanded and/or primed first? Thanks

 

do it right, get them poweder coated. Spray can paint will come out looking like ***, if you havea paint gun you can also try automotive paint, that will come out better. be sure to use a clear coat as well..

 

they should be sanded and primered. you may want to take the tires off you can. then paint and clear coat- ^as deedubb said, with a paint gun

having them powdercoated is the best way though.
