04 or 05 maybe and 06 which one?

Hey guys , just wondering i'm going to be getting my 8 from carmax probly or

somthing like that I was wondering what year I should try to get the 04 or 05 i'm

really worried about the engine recall. Should I request the test before I

buy or what? If not carmax then the kinsel dealership in beaumont.

Get whatevers the best deal...depends on the mileage of the car, price, previous history, condition of exterior/interior, how well the engine has been treated, etc. There aren't any significant differences between 04 and 05s.

The chances of needing a new engine for whatever RX-8 you find is unlikely.

Any of them should be ok, but shop around because I know you could find an awesome deal if you are patient enough. Sheesh, I dont think I could trade mine in for more than 17k.

the only reason I would get an 06 over an 04 or 05 was if you were going to get an AT. I'm just going to assume you are looking for the MT and if I am assuming correctly then just go with the posters above me. Good luck and be patient, there are great deals out there
