Oil consumption??

I just turned 1100 (hard driving) miles, and I've been checking the oil level frequently. It hasn't moved!!! Is this right?

Mine didn't require any oil until 2,500 miles. You got a good one.

At my 2,500 mile oil change mine was 1/4 below the full mark.
Seems to not use use as much oil as my other rotarys.

I have an early VIN, and believe I need a new oil pan with better baffling, so my oil level light comes on at high speeds if it's down by 1/2 quart or so. I put in a 1/2 quart at 1300 miles, and the other half at 2600 miles.

My dipstick was down about 1/3 of the way between the full and low marks at around 1000 miles, so I added half a quart. Unfortunately, I don't think it needed quite that much, because now it's over the full mark. I should have added less.

My oil light has never come on.

Half a quart

Mine used a half a quart at about 2000 miles. Apparently, if youdrive the car ahrd, more oil is used for the apex seals and is computer controlled.

Makes sense that it uses less. Previous rotarys did not regulate the flow as much, and as a precaution, dumped more oil in than nescesary.
