will 265/35R18 fit in the rear?

I'm buying the enkei NTO3+M
18x8.5 at front and 18x9.5 rear.
planning to put 245/40 in front and 265/35 in the back..
do you think the 265 will fit in the rear wihtout having to roll the
fender?? any experience around?? the offset is 40 in the back.

thanx. any help appreciated

It should fit. The 18x9.5 +45 RPF1's extend the outer position by an extra 24mm and these wheels fit with 275/35/18 tires. Your 18x9.5 +40 NT03+M's will extend the outer position by an extra 29mm but with 265/35/18 tires you should be fine because the tires are 10mm narrower.

Couldn't have said it better.

not so fast ...

Enkei screwed up and put two 38mm offset 18 x 9.5 RPF1's in the boxes of my last wheel purchase rather than the std RX-8 50mm offset and we didn't catch it until we noticed the 265/35-18 Yokahama Advan Neova AD07 tires were rubbing on the rear fender lip of our lowered RX-8. IMO you will need to run a lot of rear negative camber if you have wide 265's. Tire sizes are not equivalent. The Yoko Advan 265's are wider than most other 275 street tires; theoretical calculations don't always apply in the real world. Whether it rubs or not will just depend on several factors. At a minimum you will be very close with a 9.5" @ 40mm if the car is serious lowered.

I have 19"x265's Yokohamas in the rear on a lowered 8 without any issues. Not sure about that offset though.
