Mazda Craves Honda

i posted previosuly on Mazda's advertising coupe with the "mazda googles pontiac" thread.

now they have done it again with honda

http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/061028-164752

some people may find this advertising tactic to be wrong- i thinks its hilarious and brilliant strategy

Lol. Thats awesome and completely great that Mazda is doing that. They just have to be careful of the backfire.

It's been happening with other industries for a while. Not yet proven to be really effective, since many consumers want what they asking for, and this kind of approach can turn some off.

What's so "brilliant" about it?? Like 9291150 said it's been going on now for quite awhile. For instance, if you google "Mazda" or even "Honda" search results bring up GM ads as well.

I don't see most ads when I'm surfing. I use Firefox and Adblock.

It so obviously worked with the Solstice. Oh wait, no it didn't. Smacks of desperation to me.

Agreed--Adblock Plus it still allows the Google text ads. But those are much more tolerable than flashing pics and crap hogging bandwidth.

The new CR-V is definitely more stylish than the outgoing one. No MT though, but so few people bought it. No V6 either. However, I am happy that Honda didn't upsize it like the RAV-4. I hate this constant enlarging of small cars so that companies have to bring in new small cars like the Honda Fit.

I wish Mazda had a small SUV to sell other than the aging Tribue, which is so not Mazda in appearance or driveability.

Not to thread jack but I hear that. I can't browse without blocking those 'shoot the duck, win a prize' ads haha.

Mazda is thinking the opposite. We want BIG in the US. CX-9 baby! haha.

I guess the CX-9 is pretty big at 199.6" or so long. Thats about the length of a Chevy Tahoe, but it looks smaller.

I think Mazda has the best advertisment and marketing departments in the automotive industry. Too bad the rest of their departments can't be even half as good (in my opinion).
