Like you DD, I've been here for a while. Hang around long enough and you notice some strange things.

ASH8 is a weird cat. Look up his post history. He has 630 posts, lives in Australia (apparently), and posts almost exclusively in the General Automotive section. Bizarrely, this Aussie has posted in the Australian forum only once (in a thread he started and never replied to).

He has started 66 threads, 58 of which are in the General Automotive or Media News forums. If there is a press release issued somewhere, ASH8 will start a thread on it.

It's very odd if he posts like this without getting paid for it.......

 

you know what I find really weird? people that hang around car forums when they dont like the car an attack anyone that says anything good about it or anything bad about other cars, now that is weird! they got to have a motive

I take it you don't own an RX-8. You never talk about it if you do. There's nothing wrong with that, BTW. There are plenty of no RX-8 dudes here on this forum....Ike/Ikewrx is a notable example.

Don't take what I said as an attack, all I'm saying is that I think you post in an odd manner. If you say you like posting press releases, you like posting press releases. Just seems odd, thats all.

While we're on the thread I linked, I have to admit, I love downshifting. I test drove an MPS6 for a day (Mazdaspeed 6 in the US?) and I hated it. Something in that turbo engine/manual gearbox combo has eliminated the engine braking. The engine braking/gearbox of the RX-8 is a joy to behold.....I barely brake in city traffic.

 

i knew it i knew it! I can smell them a mile away, infact my father was mazda corporate for 10 years . He was one of their top IT guys. Got the usual perks, i drove 2 brand new limited edition mazda mx5 NB's before my 8 my mother has a brand new mazda tribute and an MPV..haha and I got a killer deal on my rx8..hahaha but man, they actually put you up to this stuff ash? hahaha so who else is a troll here?
