Hi everyone! New to the site and a new rx8 owner. I have a question for anyone who could answer this. My engine check light came on today and I have 15000k miles on the car. Just want some I deal before I bring it to the dealer. Thanks.

 

Is it blinking or is it a solid check light? Did your car go into limp mode where it felt like the engine had no power? Is the car still running ok? If it stays on then take it to the dealer...could be something as small as a lose gas cap =P better safe than sorry though

 

it stay solid and the car run fine. You may be right about the gas cap. My wife just filled up the tank. Thank a bunch.

 

no prob ...just tighten it and run the car for a bit....at 15k miles you shouldn't be having to many problems ...rattles start at 20 -

 

It should be either 15K or 15000 miles. Not 15000k. That would be equivalent to 15,000,000 miles. I would not be surprised the check engine light would come on at 15 million miles.

 

ummm C&D you didn't know? He travels at lightspeeds with his Stage 3 turbo and flux capacitator.........15 million miles is one weeks use
