subs blew interior speaker

I have two 10' rockford punch subs, stock radio, and this weekend i turned it the base to +6 and the system blew my left door speaker. It went CLICK CLICK CLICK then BOOM!. Hasn't worked since. Should I just redo all my interior speakers compatible with my system?? It doesnt sound so bad with it blown, but you can hear at times how hard the blown speaker is making the music sound. I dont know what to do. what yoou guys think?

Im sure those who have already replaced their speakers may have some extra speakers lying around....maybe post a thread in the For Sale section and you may get lucky.

Hey they blew out, isn't that an excuse to upgrade all the stock speakers? Depending on your budget, you don't have to spend a fortune.

Turning up your bass **** on the stereo is not a good way to make your subs go "boom" more; it is a good way to blow your other speakers as you've just found. If you need more control of your sub volume you should install a gain **** for the sub specifically. If it's just too quiet overall you need to adjust the gain on the amp to better match the rest of the system.

If money permits I'd suggest you replace all the door speakers (or all the speakers in the car) instead of replacing the blown factory speaker.
