I parked next to this beauty last night when i went out to dinner.

Never heard of a Noble till aboiut 4 months ago, then i see one in person. PURE SEX!!

 

Nobles are indeed very nice... and oh my god can they handle!!! The guys at top gear love the way it handles and rate it as one of the best handling cars they have tested.

 

And they have the same basic engine as the Mazda 6s does...

 

Ha!! I don't like parking Bella by anyone. LOL

 

they're not bad for a kit car. But for the price, you're in porsche 911 turbo territory.

 

hmm, looks like there's some for 75k price range, but not meeting crash regulations or emissions means it's limited in what you can do with it, and you might not have legs after crashing it

 

still safer than a motorcycle.

 

Porsche 911 price range, they must be a LOT more expensive in the US than they are in the UK. You are talking more than half the price of a 911 turbo.

 

I've been seeing an ad for a used one that someone put together (had a few hundred miles on it) for ~USD120k

 

Yeah, I would park next to it and not worry too much.

 

As far as i knew.... Noble were car manufacturers... not kit car providers? In the UK anyway.

a noble will set you back around £50,000, which is less than a 911 carerra, let alone a turbo which will set you back around £90,000+. $120k is a bit steep for a Noble.

 

Most of the nobles here are sent in parts then assembled for the buyer if they choose that route. I geuss that's whay some people call it a kit car.

 

oh man.. I refuse to park next to trucks and minivans.
At my job I just park next to a corner so only one side of my car is exposed, usualy a co-worker parks next to me which is nice.

You lucked out with that Noble.. those things look like sex on wheels.

 

Cars that cost more than $50K

 

The only cars I will park next to, are cars that I would like to own myself!.....

 

at work, i park in the section for the people who are afraid to get door dings. in that area of the lot there are wrx, me, 350z, 3-g35s, 2006 corvette, evo, soltice, a few lexus....accross the parking lot there is a mercedes slk, porche caymen, and a some more lexus, with soem acura and hummer sprinklered around. that gorup of people i all take care of their cars and where they park. i work at an architectura firm, next to a lowyers (SP) dentist and ortho and eye doctor.

 

Personally......... I like the absence of "foo foo" on the side of the car. The lack of protection (in terms of a plastic strip down the sides) almost makes the owner care about where he/she parks it.

 

But the careless jerks don't care about hitting you.

 

I never park in compact spaces even if there are no other cars. Never park next to SUVs - doesn't matter if it is a Porsche Cayman Turbo because it might be carrying kids. Never park next to anything with a child seat in it. Never park next to F-bodies... Yes, I spend a lot of time looking for the "right" parking spot

It is just unfortunate that a lot of people have no respect for other people's belongings...

 

I don't mind parking next to something expensive, assuming it isn't "big" either. They are usually far more careful than average. Of course there are exceptions. Where I was working one of the housekeepers had some old 80s Honda. She took such good care of it, though. It was always washed and waxed and shiny. I would see her get out of it and actually wipe off the headlights and everything. Shew as an older lady from the Philippines and she was just so proud of her car and the fact that she worked and was able to pay for it herself and didn't want anything to happen to it.

If I know the people who are parking next to me I don't mind so much because they try to be careful seeing as they have witnessed my obsessive parking routine. I will take pictures of the cars parked on either side of me and the one in front of me. I will then also write down their license plate numbers. This generally only applied at work because it was employee only parking only and by 5 p.m. most everyone else had left except people on late shifts. So, on my first break I would go and see if anything had changed concerning who was parked by me. If so, I would then go through this routine again. The guy that drove the STI thought this was pretty funny and his wife referred to me as the "crazy lady." LOL

I always try to avoid anything that appears to haul kids around also. If I can find a spot that is by several other open spots and far enough away that it would appear to be an "inconvenience" to walk that far, that is what I go for. It's not so far away that it's sitting in the open like a target but also not quite close enough to be immediately next to other vehicles.

 

Ah right, makes sense... we have dealerships here selling Nobles which is why i was a bit confused.

Its defo worth it for $70-85k or so, but for $120k..... that's pushing it a bit.

 

I'm sure everyone has noticed the minute that we park in the middle of nowhere, at least one car will park right next to us even tho there are plenty of parking spaces elsewhere? Please park next to someone else.

 

^haha always happens to me when I try to do the "Park away from everyone" I call it the magnet effect. Even with my other car and truck I drove it would happen never fails.

 

i hav so many door dings on my car... i hate parking rena next to any car lol....i always start debating whether i should park hella far and jus walk to where i hav to go... i work at best buy so its always crowded and sometimes i hav no choice... i hate people who jus swing their doors open soo hard... for no reason ahhhh!!!!
