AT synthetic fluid recomendations

I searched the forums for about 30 minutes, could not find information on synthetic fluid types and how to change on the Automatic RX8.
(I expect a flood of responses telling me to get new glasses !! LOL !

Plenty of good info on Manual transmissions - is the AT fluid change very different ??
I like Royal purple for me engine, would like to use it in AT transmission if there is a suitable fluid??

owners manual tells you the type of fluid... the syn fluid is rated the same way....

if you can find a syn that has the same ratings it will work...

Read the Manual !!, oh yeh, there it is - Thanks Swoope
Found some Royal Purple that meets M-III and Dexron III
But at $9.35/qt and I need 9 qts !!! need to do some hard research on this one.
Anyone got an opinion on what is to be gained by changing to Synthetic ATF ??
My thoughts are that ATF has such a low viscosity anyway, how much difference can the synthetic version make.
I put Royal Purple in the engine 3 months ago and will put it in the differential this weekend, but the Auto. transmission ?? I dunno yet
