RX-8 in SoCal
Hey everyone, I’m looking for an RX-8 in SoCal (willing to travel about 100 miles from San Diego).
The only must haves are manual transmission, no sunroof, and clean/straight body with good paint (no peeling/fading).
I’m open to various colors, I just want a car that will present well once it’s cleaned up. I would consider a non-runner if everything else I’m looking for is present and the Renesis motor is still provided with the car.

Is the sunroof/moonroof an absolute deal-breaker for you?
I've got a 2004 Black GT that's got the original engine (92k miles, and I've been told it'll need a rebuild in the near future, but it seemed to run fine last time I drove it). Single owner, I bought it new on 12/31/03 and no accidents.It's been parked for a while and should probably have the gas/oil/coolant emptied and refilled before running, and it doesn't have current tags.
New clutch/flywheel installed at about 89k, but it needs some work to pass CA smog (CEL code for secondary air valve solenoid) and could use a new undertray/front lip.
racing beat suspension and air intake (with CARB sticker), and MaztaSpeed front strut brace are the only mods, dash is cracked around the pass airbag but the paint is in good shape and the only dent is on the rocker panel so it'll shine for you with a little polish and a good wax job. I can throw in a high-flow thermostat which I never got around to installing and a set of hotter ignition coils which would need a mounting bracket fabricated for installation.
