Hello guys,

Up for sale is a full, recently rebuilt SFR turbo kit I recently purchased from fellow RX8Club member baysj (view original sale thread). The kit is in EXCELLENT working condition and is turnkey ready and comes with a GREAT tune with the included access port (always need to fine tune, but this is a great base map). I've not yet installed it on my car but I had my mechanic check it out and everything looks good, the turbo was rebuilt less than 3k miles ago. Member baysj ran this on his car without issue for 3 years, then rebuilt the turbo and ran it some more then a tree fell on his car during the hurricane last year and then he put for sale. This kit is super reliable and will turn your rx8 into a 300+ hp monster. I would LOVE to put this on my car but I am selling it because I just purchased a house and I also have a 3rd gen rx7 so I have to cut back on my rotary addiction and boosting my 8 is not part of that plan.

In addition to the SFR kit, included in the sale price of $5000 are some brand new gauges I purchased, as well as a new gauge hood.

All of these components come with the kit I am selling:

1 Complete SFR Turbo kit SFR website for kit - (retail $5,799.99)
1 Cobb Accessport with great unlocked base maps for this kit - (retail $495)
1 Water/Meth Injection Kit - (retail $499)
1 Greddy Turbo Timer - (retail $100)
1 Greddy Profec b-spec II boost controller - (retail $400)
1 brand new gauge hood - (retail $109) 1 brand new racing beat gauge panel kit w/ gauges (retail $495) website
1 autometer fuel pressure gauge + sensor kit
1 autometer boost gauge + sensor kit
1 AEM wideband gauge + sensor kit

Note: The turbo was rebuilt last year and has less then 3,000 miles on it since the rebuild. The accessport also has unlocked maps.

All that's required outside of this kit is for you to have your injectors upgraded to 550cc (if you want to use the maps provided). This is a cheap thing, you send your injectors to KGparts and they send em back. Original owner had this kit dyno'd on his car at 301 rwhp at 8.6psi, which is totally reliable on the renesis, which is why I bought this kit.

Turbo RX-8, and you own an FD RX-7 like me too..

Looks like we're in the same boat, though. I just sold the Greddy turbo kit off my RX-8..

The RX-7 is enough of a money pit. lol

Looks like a hell of a turbo setup, though. Whoever buys this stuff from you is definitely getting what they need.

I'm still second guessing myself on selling this, I would love to have my 8 turbo'd, and my 7 is pretty much complete (that's hilarious isn't it)... oh well, time to grow up and waste all my money on property taxes and glass bathroom tile.

How much for the turbo kit and cobb ap only? I dont need all the other extras.

 

$4100 shipped for turbo kit and cobb AP alone (w/ unlocked maps that baysj ran for 3 years at 308rwhp dyno'd @ 8.5psi). I'll only break the kit up if someone buys the kit first, none of the other stuff will be separated until I sell the turbo kit itself. I think it's a great deal to get the all the stuff together @ 5k but someone wants to just buy the kit itself then I'll do that and sell the rest off individually.

Ive been told this will fit an 2009 r3.. Would anyone know if this is true... an i so i am willing to offer you 3000 for the kit minus the accessport

to clarify, if international buyers want to make an offer, you will be responsible for paying shipping fees, it's not included in the 5k price tag.

if no reasonable offers come in by end of month, I may start parting it out, I need to get my garage cleared out. I also have some other items I will list in another thread.

 

good luck for sale... if i have money absolutely i want buy it... i want learn something about your turbo, when the turbo is pulling ? in which rpm... i want building custom turbo kit which pull after 3500 rpm but i dont know what can i do for that... i m sory for write that here... i m waiting end of month maybe i can buy some parts in this kit...
