How does the floor mat hook work? My front mats keep crunching to the front

 

If you reach under your seat near the front and in the centre on both sides (driver and passenger), you will feel a little hole with a plastic screw type thing in the hole. The mat hook has a hole that the plastic screw goes into to fasten it to the floor and then you put the hole in the end of the mat over the hook to keep the mat from sliding forward. It is a safety thing as well as the mat could go under your brake or accelerator pedal....remember the toyota run aways....they tried to blame it on the mat sliding up on the gas pedal.

$20 each meaning $40 for a pair of hooks... is kind of steep isn't it?

I'll give you $10 for BOTH. Sorry I don't mean to low-ball you, but I really don't see why they would be $20 each for two pieces of metal.

My offer of $10 for both is on the table.

 

Go buy one at the stealership. They are probably $40 or more.
