NY FS: Borla Exhaust

Looking to change things up a bit.

About 10k miles on it. On the right side exhaust tip there are very small spots of what appear to be tar stains. Should come off with some effort. See pic.

$600 OBO Local Pickup.
If you really want it shipped, all shipping expenses would be on your end.
I would drive a reasonable distance to facilitate the exchange.

You are including the connector pipe? If anyone buys this then they would need it.

Not trying to lowball but I'd possibly give you $300 plus shipping. Race Roots sent me a price of $710 shipped a couple months ago for a new one. That looks like about a half priced exhaust to me.

.. $300.. no.

"a couple of months ago" steel wasn't at the price it is today.

On my first rx8 I bought the Borla BRAND NEW for $540, half a year later the price on a new Borla jumped up to $750 and a year later it was over $800.. right now its still $750 on Race Roots. Every other site on the internet has it $850+.
I think $150 off is fair for 10,000 miles considering there is nothing mechanically wrong with it.. Borla has a "million mile warranty" which they have honored plenty of times so if something should go wrong, which it shouldn't, considering on my previous rx8 I used the Borla for 30k miles with no problem, then you can just get it replaced by Borla for free.
I should mentioned I sold my previous Borla with 30k miles on it for $520.

$300 - no thx. I did say reasonable offers will be accepted though. That is not reasonable.

the way im seeing it is that you are making a $60 profit for something used when you bought it.

definitely not, but what idiot would buy a used exhaust from someone when they know they marked it UP from when they bought it...and they USED it. it's not like it's been sitting there w/ no extra miles on it, he used it and is still trying to charge more for it...b/c the cost of steel went up?? i want this exhaust but at that price, i'd just assume buy it new

sorry - gl, but trying to sell a used anything for that close to retail won't get you many hits, as you can see from this thread length. this exhaust is normally like the afe ss, sells very quickly.

and if you're going to compare, brice's $750 is shipped, your $600 is not, so it's more like $100 cheaper than BRAND NEW, only it already has blemishes on it and 10k miles. dumb, but whatever.

fwiw, $300 is quite the low-ball.

you guys need to read alittle deeper, I said I got the Borla for $540 on my previous rx8, that was 1.5 years ago.

As it stands Im still asking 1/4 under retail and I prefer local pickup to leave out the shipping costs which are nuts for this thing...

I also did say *reasonable* offers accepted....

FWITRW: alz0rz has +17 trader rating. He wouldn't have that if he was ripping people off with unfair pricing. He has also asked for reasonable offers.

Free bump.

Not trying to thread crap but it was mentioned to i'll clarify - Borla has an AMAZING lifetime warranty "to the original purchaser of record" . I had a tiny crack in mine and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. I did however have to fax them my original receipt; they won't honor the warranty for someone besides the original owner so don't expect that.

Aside from that, someone buy this - the exhaust sounds AMAZING, very deep and not excessively loud. And really well-made too, so I wouldn't expect any problems. Really nice welds, top-grade steel, and with a little polishing, the tips on mine looked brand new after 5 years. Plus new, yeah, they're 800-900 bucks these days, so this is a good deal...

Good luck with the sale...

PS- agreed, $300 is the low-balleriest lowball I've heard lowballed in quite a while.
