Babies/wife making me do this...

The car is in great shape inside and out. Compression test done in March 2018 at Galpin Mazda (820ft above sea level) with good results. The rotary tech told me it was as good as he sees. Never flooded, always starts up instantly. I use Pettit Rotary Premix and have a full bottle left which should last 5k miles. I'm the 2nd owner, purchased in the Bay Area from a Mazda Dealership in February, 2011 with 4.5k miles on the odo. Serviced regularly by Mazda dealerships, with records. It has been garaged or covered for the 7 years I have owned it. I will miss this car dearly, but I would rather stay married than keep this for weekend drives. I have taken it to the track 4 times and autocrossed it around 10 times. I have an set of 17" RPF1 wheels with Hankook RS2's that have half their tread remaining. I'll also include these with the sale in addition to the R3 wheels. On the car are brand new Pilot Super Sports. Brand new Bosch battery, front brake pads and rotors, takata airbags replaced, 20k service just completed last month. I replaced the coolant reservoir a couple years ago because the level reading was incorrectly reporting low coolant and it bugged me. The car has accumulated very minor cosmetic wear over the years including minor curb rash on each wheel and some minor swirl marks from car washes that good paint polish should clean up. I just repainted the entire front bumper at Caliber Collision Burbank due to rock chips that added up over the years. Now the front end looks brand spanking new! This is probably the lowest mileage example of a Black RX8 R3 in the world, since they only made them black in 2009. PM me if you are interested.

I'll throw a set of RPF1's in for free.

I thought a reading in the low 70s was borderline fail? Not to mention the RPMs were tested at 300 instead of the usual 250 which would artificially inflate the compression reading. Or is this because it is 800+ feet above sea level?

Noob at this.

Here you go, and yes - they are quite a bit lower according to the calculator.

A healthy S2 starter with a strong battery should spin at around 300 RPM when cranking.

And yeah, I am surprised that this car is losing compression already...

That's a damn shame. Such a well kept car surprising the compression is borderline fail with sub 20k miles... Sorry OP.
