Koni 2812 coilovers - just rebuilt

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price: $1800
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I, Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): GA
Item Condition: Used

These are custom built Koni 2812 coilovers off of my Pirelli World Challenge car. I was planing to use them in my STL race car but a deal on some new Ohlins came up that I could not refuse.

Unfortunately for me but great for you, I just had them rebuilt at ProParts (the go-to for Koni service). They have literally 5 warm-up laps on them. They are new internally and I have dyno sheets for them. I paid over $1200 for the rebuild on these things.

2812's are legendary in the motorsports world. They are legit race shocks, separately adjustable for compression and rebound, digressive valved. These have custom pillow-ball rear mounts and ground control (I think) pillow ball front mounts. They come with Eibach 700 front and 400 rear springs. They have about $400 in Genesis spacers and helper springs and are ready to install.

Letting them go for $1800 OBO + $30 shipping.

How are the rebound and compression adjusted on these? I tried to look at some Koni manuals and it looks like there is a button to press and then you turn the shaft. Is that right? I'm assuming that wouldn't be able to be adjusted on-car.

Good question. They are externally adjustable on the car for compression and rebound independently

Front: The adjusters are accessed from the top, under the hood. The top 8 mm nut is compression, bottom is rebound. 8 clicks each, CW is softer.

Rear: The adjusting rings are accessed from the bottom of the shock. The wheel has to be removed though. The top red ring is rebound, bottom black ring is compression. 8 clicks each, CW is stiffer (looking down on the shock). I use a pick to move the rings. It is just the opposite of the fronts since the shock is inverted.

Here are the dyno plots. Scales are not the same for some reason.
