Looking for clean body project car (Central Western Massachusetts)
Looking for a clean body RX-8 S1 for a project car. Paint condition and interior condition not a big deal for me. No body rot and treatable rust is doable for me. Needs a clean title. Would be willing to ship the right car. Would take a low/ no compression car. Might be willing to take someone's project. But being complete and not a pile of rust is the biggest deal. Figured throwing a feeler on the forum was worth a try.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm sure someone will buy it soon if not yet.
I ended up finding a fairly clean body car with a failed engine. I am building a new engine for it and hope to have it back on the road after a 5 year hibernation.

I plan to. I got it home and organized all the boxes of parts I was given. It was missing the rotors and the housings were thrashed, but the plates were in good shape. Purchased a JDM 4 port 5 speed for the housings and rotors which was making decent compression. Left me with a second set of most things.
Got two good used housings and everything else to put the engine back together come spring. Going through and cleaning all the parts now. Then touching up the engine bay and I'll put it together come warmer weather. Hoping to get 10-20k miles or a year or two. Didn't want to go to deep until I have the body and engine all situated. Plan to keep an eye on the compression numbers and get all the new parts for a proper rebuild. Really hoping it will come out of its 5+ year coma.
The carbon deposits on the JDM 4 port rotors was unreal though. Had to buy a parts washer. Once I go through everything I will probably list some extra parts for sale. Not sure if someone could use the 4 port manual plates and ECU from the donor motor.
