passanger oil cooler duct looks blocked off. was it sprayed? the little "wings" in the bottom corners should be factory dark greyish if legit. post pics of the back. whats it made of?
There was an option to buy with the right oil cooler duct closed for autos.
That said, pics of the stock number would better prove it's authenticity.

The accents were painted the same color as the bumper which is different, the right inlet is blocked off though when purchasing two mazdaspeed bumpers when new, they never said anything about an option for blocking off the right grill and there was no part number to purchase that piece. Also, the rebar cover looks a little off. The rebar cover only came on the US-spec bumpers and that was one of the main features for authenticity as no copies came with that. Maybe more pictures can help this out!
Where in CA are you from? I wouldn't mind taking a look if you're in norcal.

There was a no-paint, gray primer only version
Per the attached installation sheet a cover for the RH side was supplied as standard with the bumper cover for models that only had one oil cooler.
The question is, is the screen for that side installed (can't tell from the pic)? Most people interested in will likely have dual oil coolers. It will be almost impossible to replace if you don't.

I got the bumper from a JPR Motor and that's how it came. JPR Motor has a lot of Mazda part's. JPR Motor is a JDM importer that imports in part's including car's. Sadly they don't answer their phone no more they let it go to voicemail and you have to leave a voicemail then someone will call you back.

I would need to see the stamped mazda part # especially since I ordered a set of "MS" side skirts from the same company this came from and they ended up not being authentic. they were a very good Japanese brand that rep's the MS parts but not authentic. the inside of the bump by the turn signal would have the qsea-? or qse1-? number stamped on the inside with a date code.
The part number is stamped/pressed and would be on drivers side in location stated previous. I checked my installation manual to confirm my suspicions. Japanese RX8 had only one oil cooler and as such the bumpers from Japan had the block off plate on right side.
