So, I sold my R3, and have a set of OZ Alleggerita 18" wheels with Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Specs for sale. Please have a look at my Craigslist post if you're interested.
Your replies are constructive and informative, and I have learned something valuable as a result.
Wait - I'm sorry. That was a different message. Your replies were not useful at all. I'd be happy to understand what made my post unacceptable, but you've given me no useful or actionable information whatsoever. I owned an RX8 R3 for 6 years, and have never needed to post the minimum number of messages to be able to post anywhere but here. Now that I have leftover wheels and tires that could actually be useful to an RX8 owner, I'm interested in finding a buyer who could benefit from a good deal on a set. Should I post the minimum number of useless replies, telling new posters that they have the wrong idea, just so that I can unlock the other portions of the forum? Perhaps you could offer a suggestion other than "don't do that" to help me out.
we're having fun with you because you obviously never took the time to read the rules for our FS section which plainly states:
- All items MUST have an asking price.
and
- This is not an auction site. DO NOT DIRECTLY LINK YOUR PRODUCT TO EBAY
^^ craiglist would also fall into that. The idea is that if you want to sell your product here, please by all means sell it here but list a price and do it here, don't just use the forum to direct people to a sale you have elsewhere.
Thanks for the feedback. I admit that my frustration at the posting policy overran my other thoughts. Sorry about that. Ashamed as I am, I also didn't read the rules. Shame on me for that, too. So, here's an attempt to make a compliant post.
I'm asking $1000 for a set of OZ Alleggeritas with Dunlop Direzza ZII star specs. If that price isn't reasonable, please feel free to offer me one that is.
These were purchased as a package from TireRack on 3/3/2015. I used them on a 2010 Mazda RX-8 R3.
Wheels:
OZ Alleggerita HLT wheels
Color: Matte Graphite Silver
Size: 18x8
Offset: 48mm
Backspacing: 6.38"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Weight: 17.5 lbs (Tirerack says 17.0, but the OZ tag said 17.490 lbs)
Small amount of curb rash on one wheel.
Tires
Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Specs
Size: 225/45/18
Tread Depth Remaining: 6/32"
Original Tread Depth: 9/32"
TPMS
315 MHZ TPMS Sensors installed by TireRack.
The wheels are shown on the car. The second picture (left rear) is the one with the curb rash. They aren't on the car now, so you will just get wheels and tires. Seriously, $1000 would be a steal for a car. I can't afford to sell you a car for that. But do know what I can sell you for that? Yep. Wheels and tires. Did I mention that I'm throwing in the TPMS sensors for free? That's almost as good a bargain as a $1000 car.
I'm located in Arlington, VA. I'd prefer to deal locally, but can work with you if you're not in the area.

Reason: adding required info
Thanks. I sold it because we had 2 autocross cars, and decided to go down to 1. Since my wife refuses to drive a stick, I had to find a car with a PDK. I love mazda and absolutely loved the R3. I have lots of good memories from it.
