Howdy folks, I'm going to be in the area for my friends wedding on the 24th, so I checked Laguna's schedule, and lucky me there's a track day

I've been wanting to drive this track for a while and here's my opportunity. I've never driven with HOD, so hopefully they put on a good track day, though there looks to be at least four groups Just thought I would put this out there to see if anyone is interested.

Laguna Seca Noise and Track Info

 

Just thought I would share my trip out to Laguna Seca. What a track!!! If you ever get the chance to go, take it! This track just moved up to my favorite. It is a smooth flowing track. I know I still have some time out on the track, especially through turns 5 and 6. Just need to get more courage to push it. I am happy with my times. I was able to get a 1:54.5 as my fastest lap of the day. Turn 4 was my favorite turn, nothing to difficult about the turn, but it felt so fast and I felt like I was able to give it everything I had





This video is the entire 4th session, it was my favorite of the day. There was a BMW that went off at the exit of T2, but they kept the track hot, so that was cool. And at T2 of lap 6 I got distracted and missed my brake point and I thought I was going off track

Living in Ontario Canada my chances of running at the Laguna track is pretty slim (but never ruled out) so for now I'll have to live a dream of mine through your wind screen.
I do get to run my 8 on the Mosport track, now called (Canadian Tire Motor Sports Park)
doing charity laps for Sick Kids Hospital which is great fun and always a good cause.

Not the same as open lapping, but the goal is to push the pace car as fast as you can, but if the group behind you is slow the pace car slows so everyone is kept in a bunch,which does (suck) but I understand their thinking.
