lifter tick on my RX-8

ok guys i know its really not a lifter and all... just tryin to get some attention ... but when ever its cold and i start the 8 thats exactly what it sounds like... sounds like a lifter is ticking on a non rotary vehicle... it eventually goes away when the vehicle warms up .. like 5 or 10 min ... is this normal ? this is my first cold weather wiht the 8 so pardon my ignorance

Mmmm I've never heard such noises nor have I heard anyone from the RX8 gang mention anything.

It gets damn cold where we live.
I'll post the question and a link to this thread in the Canadian forum.

I cleaned my timing chain tensioner in the Nissan with SeaFoam. Try that!

If you're trying to be sarcastic it unfortunately doesn't work in this case since the Renesis actually does have "valves"
