I've seen it on ebay for pretty cheap. Its made out of fiberglass.

It reminds me of the Varis hood.

If I´m not mistaken it´s exactly the hood as my local vendor here in sweden has in his shop, but it´s made out of carbon fiber. Quality looks decent, not too shabby at all

I just went to their website, but couldn't find any RX8 products, nor the hood pictured above...anyone provide a direct link to this product?

there's more pics of the replica hood on the ebay page

Replica 1:

For a replica hood... this one looks to be of pretty good quality.

Here's pics of the original Varis hood. It comes in FRP, Carbon Fiber, and Carbon Kevlar...

Thank you BigO. Now, if we could somehow convince people to purchase these one at a time so that we could all get it for 249.

A quality hood..fibreglass... at 249.. It all seeems ultra suspect to me. Beware of massive fitment and quality issues. Remember all those hack Mazdaspeed kits! You pay for what you get! If someone still takes the plunge, please use hood pins because I've seen poor hoods flop back into the windshield of cars.

I have the Varis hood...the underhood design, underhood draining trays for the vents , and centre triangle are very very different from this pic. It appears the vents aren't quite the same either..they seem a little more shallow than the VARIS.

Do you have pics of the draining trays? Curious to see how that should look. That's always been my biggest concern when looking for a vented hood
