Tony, how did you make your pics so clean? (^^;;

Well, it is secret. So people can hire professional photographer. :aroused:

Haha, kidding.

If I'm shotting with .jpeg mode straight from camera, the results will be very plain.

The key are
  • RAW file (aka. Digital Negative)
  • Post-Processing

It is the same as old day that you have to develop and print from film.
In this process, you could do some tweak like adjusting brightness, contrast ++++
In the old day, the print shop did this for you
so most people never understand why their pictures from film camera alway have correct exposure
but when they switch to digital camera, their photos sometimes are too dark or too bright.

For digital, either you let the camera do it (.jpeg straight from camera)
or you could shoot with RAW (ie. .nef, .cr2 depend on camera manufacturer) and process by yourself.

As today, there is no camera that could automatically process the photos as good as we could.

.jpge offers speed. RAW file offers quality.
So depend on you want.

Most info on RAW imaging is already in your camera manual.
I suggest that if you are really into photography, give it a try.

I asked RB what could be expected from their porting template and how much does it cost. This is their response.

--

If you were to do nothing but perform our "street port" on an otherwise stock Renesis engine, the improvement in power would be small. However, once that is done, other changes make a larger difference due to the better breathing. I have recently seen 247 HP from a ported engine with our intake, flash, header and race muffler, plus a few other minor mods. In the past, a good race engine (no porting) would be in the 230+ HP range.

The cost of the templates are $95.00.

^thats a lot of work and parts to get that HP... IMHO SC PETTIT is better...

pdxhak 10-05-2009 10:25 AM

That is a lot of work but if you are building and or rebuilding then it is not ;) So far with NA mods we have to dink and dunk our way to more HP.

ZumnRx8 10-05-2009 10:29 AM

^true about if you are building or rebuilding....and theres nothing better than that "brap brap brap brap" sound... and all the HP N/A...I rather brag about a N/A 240 hp Renny than a 240 HP Turbo'd RENNY... IMHO...
