Last year I made it in 1183 miles one way - the West Coast Caravan was a blast! Not so sure I can make it this year. Maybe I'll fly down :)

Xyntax 08-24-2005 03:22 PM

So what's up? Any Bay Area caravan plans going on?

I'm in. Does 2 cars make a caravan? :) Honestly though, the 7 guys have a large contingent that hook up at several locations thoughout the bay area before it joins up with the main caravan at the I-5.

Xyntax 08-25-2005 03:34 PM

So, how does it work then? I know some RX-7s are meeting up at Vallejo. I don't think a Vallejo drive for me would be practical, considering everyone's going south after that.

TheDosDog 08-25-2005 09:37 PM

There will be a stop in/near SJ on the way south before cutting over to I-5. This is routine for a lot of the 7 guys. They have all the gas stops/ meeting points well planned. Just watch the forums as the date gets closer.

I might tag along. (Any excuse to put more miles on my baby). I'll try to decide soon so I can get a hotel etc.

Here is last years schedule:

http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=342218

As far as the return trip, it's usually smaller groups of cars but just a fun.

Loaded8 08-28-2005 10:23 AM

Thanks Dos!!! :D

Moostafa29 09-11-2005 12:11 AM

I will be headed down with you all in the caravan, but will only be able to attend the big meet Saturday morning/afternoon. I have a lot of friends in so. cal that I haven't seen since graduating 2+ years ago, so I'm going to try to spend some time with them as well.

Loaded8 09-12-2005 01:46 AM

Moostafa, I think they leave really early!!! LOL

It will be fun to be part of a large caravan, I guess that makes up for getting up so early!!!

Moostafa29 09-12-2005 09:26 PM

How early are we talking. I get up at 4:45 daily, so I doubt it would be a big deal, but if they are meeting at 4am, I'll see you all there.
