Suspension Differences between 2010 and 2011

Hi All,

I am looking to do coilovers on my car, a lot of shops say that their coilover kits stop at 09 or 10 for the RX8, some say that their kits support the 09 but not the 10, but there's very little information on the 2011

I'm looking at HSD DualTech or Monopro or possibly the BC Coilovers Kits

Am I safe to buy a kit that supports the 2010 RX8 for a 2011 model, or are there any changes with regards to the 2011 suspension that require a specific coilover kit.

Thanks for you Help,

Look up the part for the 2010 or 2011 on a Mazda parts website to obtain the OEM part numbers for each year - I doubt they changed. See more at: Discount factory (OEM) Mazda parts and accessories at Park Mazda OEM Parts

There are no changes and all those coilover kits are built to fit ( No RX-8 R&D)made in Tawain crap so it doesn't really matter which of those you pick.

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the input wannawankel, I used the parts website and compared both the 2010 and 2011 suspensions, the part numbers are identical for both Front and Rear.

So it seems whatever will fit the 2010 should work on the 2011.

9krpmrx8 as far as i know the Stance and HSD Kits are made by the same manufacture. I'm not sure what you meant by "Tawian Crap" but thanks for the input. There are no changes to suspension parts between 2010 and 2011.

They are made in Taiwan crap. I have Stance coilovers, they are made in Taiwan, rebranded crap, just like Powertrix, HSD, etc. Zero R&D on the RX-8 and just built to fit and go low, that is it.

I have a 2011, and all the 2009+ stuff fits just fine.

If you buy a Taiwan suspension, you will be buying twice. Just buy this once and be done with it.

It isn't terribly difficult. Racing Beat has good instructions on their web site that do a good job of walking you through it. I've gotten so good at it, I can do a complete replacement in 2 hours. If you haven't done it before, assume it will take you 4 hours. You do need a good set of hand tools and torque wrenches.
