Raising the rear with Coilovers

Raising the rear with Coilovers
So the shop that installed the coilovers said they couldn't adjust the height cause it didn't come with the forks (HSD Coilovers). Well, my frds set did, so we go ahead and try it ourselves.
The coilovers are supposed to be independently adjustment, but it seems onces the coilovers are installed we can only lower it with the preload, which we don't want, as they installed it with the springs very close together already. So we actually want to loose up the spring so there is more travel, which would lower the car more. We tried loosening the other 'thing' with the forks, but it just wouldn't turn. looks like it has to be taken out and reinstalled? I hope not, I wouldn't want to pay twice..........
