Fisher, love the look with the spacers, really pushes the tire out nice.
and what maybe a 1 1/4 drope with spring

Fisher 05-02-2012 06:03 PM

the web site says 1.4/1.2 f/r

G_ man 05-02-2012 06:07 PM

how much $$$$ for both springs and spacers and did it change the ride much, you need some oil cooler screens

Fisher 05-02-2012 08:42 PM

ride is maybe alittle harder i would say close to the r3 stock.

for price about 250 for the springs and about 250 for the spacers.

ya i should look in to those screens

Rotary-RX8 05-02-2012 11:12 PM

i just got tanabe gf210 springs installed too lol

I have ichiba spacers too.

Question... does your front seem a little bit higher than your rear ?? I just got my springs installed like a week ago and i just recently got them preloaded but my fronts are stiill a tiny bit higher than my rear.

wazup_shorty 05-03-2012 08:19 AM

any trouble installing springs on stock r3 shocks?? read alot of stuff about the rear sitting to high on some occasion

Fisher 05-03-2012 04:21 PM

none at all it went very smooth ill take a side shot of the car so u can see the stance

Fisher 05-03-2012 04:28 PM

the rear does seem to squat a little but now with the spaces its not as noticable

Your 8 looks good Fisher! I think that's how the R3's should come stock!
I have a pair of ichiba's too. Good product, but i recommend using beefier acorn nuts when mounting them. I didn't trust the tiny ones they came with & they are easy to strip haha.

jrx13 05-04-2012 04:59 PM

Can you post some pics of that front lip too?

Fisher 05-04-2012 09:33 PM

hehe ya the lug nuts well those a cheap openended ones the place i got the spaces from sent 1 set with longer studs so i couldnt use oem lugs i am getting new ones tomorrow ill take a pic with the new lugs.

Sure ill get some more pics of the lip up

tbk 05-21-2012 09:08 AM

I'm more interested in that front lip. Got any better pictures of it?

EDIT: is it the Odula lip?

EDIT2: yup, it is. I know what my next purchase is.

ChikaFreak 07-11-2012 01:14 PM

Looks great! Off topic I know but what exhaust are you running?

Fisher 07-12-2012 04:27 PM

its a trust/ greddy u can only order it from japan, greddy usa says they still need to make it / fit it to the North american market ... looks like its made and fits to me :)

fyi i got it through japanparts nothing but good things to say about them

whiterx8man 07-12-2012 07:04 PM

Rotaryrx8,
I told u! Cut the front ones by one coil. I promise that it will lower the front by only about 1/4 inch and make it lower than the front. It wont change the ride or the dynamics of the springs.

No need to spread your shit throughout the forum. No one cares to hear it. Keep it to pm's.
Also, don't hi-jack this QUALITY thread with your ricer fail. The OP is doing things the correct way.

Could you go with bigger spacers? Do you think the Ichiba 22mm spacers work for the rears without rolling the fenders?

Do you think the 22mm would work for the front aswell?

paimon.soror 07-25-2012 07:22 AM

Really liking that lip...too bad it only fits the R3 bumper :( ... they need to make a solid lip for the non-r3s

There is one...the Knight Sports lip is for our non-R3 bumpers. However, they're only available in FRP or CF...so say goodbye the first time something flies up on the highway :/. Hopefully Paul has some luck on R3 bumpers for us.

Fisher - can I steal that SBM front bumper? hahaha....you Canadians got lucky, since you got that color on the R3s! IIRC, you got white R3s as well, right? She's looking good. Any plans for aftermarket wheels, or are you just going to keep the BBSs long term?
